HARD WORK

As a psychology student i have realized that we all have a different perspectives to life, some people make mistakes to our eyes yet if we were in their shoes we'd understand. But the one perspective most people share in common from Humanitarians to Terrorists is hard work. With this serving as a constant factor success is guaranteed.

Being Black.

As a Psychology student i am forced to look at the world with a neutral perspective, currently busy with a community psychology module, i have come to realize that regardless of your education or wealth in the 21st century, your skin color still plays a role on your area of work, money you stand to make and the kind of people you will associate with.

Politics all the way.

As a young South African, it has really been instilled in me just how important Democracy is but my problem is the current state the country is in. Yes we have come a long way as a nation but do we always have to look back whenever we have to compare ourselves on a international level? I am proud of my country's accomplishments but people have to stand up for more. I usually have fights with my friends about how the current government has brought retardation instead of growth or how other nations are making it while we aren't. Have you ever watched a lazy person complain of doing a basic duty? well that is how i feel about my country. In general, we have the potential to be big but our somehow diverse mentalities are keeping us down.

I sometimes feel that as South Africans, we've adopted a lifestyle unlike any other in the world. we tend to look to government for every problem we have including housing and even toilet construction. if every citizen had that ideology that Hard work pays then indeed we would be a great nation. Yes every nation has its problems but in SA, we are our worst enemies. Then there is the often exaggerated use or excuse of how Apartheid has disabled 'us', by my generation. We have been born into a wonderful and free country. When these individuals cannot account for their own actions, they blame it on the past even though they weren't there. Yes the effects are evident but its up to us to make this land an better one. The  people who have first hand experience have moved on yet some make it their daily prayer.The motion at the moment is to enable every citizen to be able to take action regardless of their background. Its a long way to go but it will be worth it.  South Africans, take action and be the change you want to see in the country. my wish is for fellow citizens to have access to the kind of information i do. #GAME_CHANGER.

The Beautiful Ndebele people of Southern Africa.

With their geometric and colorful paintings, they are the most colorful people on the continent. A tradition that has been laid down from mother to child. Found mostly in South Africa, they also reside in the the wonderful country of Zimbabwe.

Still  alive and kicking!

After a dramatic and painful month of no posting, i am back with more and better factual information about more abstract  issues Myself, Typical South African youth normally think and discuss with my counterparts.

LIVING IN SOUTH AFRICA.

A Facebook friend of mine asked me to post a full post about living in South Africa just so she could have that perspective. The one major mistake made by the developed world is to think of Africa as
one country that has animals living around the beautyful excotic villages you find here. Well the truth is Africa on its own has sum level of development.

Having lived and traveld South Africa has shown me how much diversity we have here. First of all this is the most developed  African nation. In terms of diversity we stand out. In South Africa you get a mixture of 70% urban and 30% rural in society. The people here are unique and great regardless of  thier backgrounds, the small town of Zeerust (my home town) to the metropolis of Johannesburg you find all kinds of people. South Africans are hardworkers in every field of work.

South Africa is the only country in the world where you get see and tip (pay) car guards. We have the worlds largest domestic security industry but that just adds to the many wonders in South Africa. World wide we are notorious for gang crimes and the alleged "White Genocide", the latter being a lie since crime affects people regardless of race. In South Africa, you find different kinds of transport,
we have two types of taxis, the metre taxi which you have to call and the avarage taxi which most South Africans take on a daily basis. We have the first rapid transit system on the continent.
Overall the country is advanced in terms of Telecomunications, science and the Commerc sector mainly the banking.

South Africa has an increasing middle-class which are evident in the countries growing economy and are a risult of political stability and globalisation. Urban centres like Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg have some of the best infrastructure on the continent, Its is also home to the busiest airport on the continent. Although  life in South Africa incloudes having some of the highiest crime rates in the world but life here is good and the weather is great!

TO THE MATRICULANT.

You are young, energetic and excited to face the world. You cant wait to see what tommorow holds for you! everytime you are reminded of your siniority in school and that gives you so much status its over whelming. The pressure is on you from time to time  and you wonder how you will survive but you know that the time is coming for you to reap all this year's hardwork.


Always remember your priorities as all the years events can disturb you from you school work and remember that through all the struggles you have university application forms or e-mails to send and do followe-ups on. This is the year that can make or break you! All the A's or H's you get this year will last with you your entire life unless you want to upgrade in the following years.

In the next coming few weeks i will upload some tips most matriculats need especially when it comes to thier academics and other aspects of a matriculants life. Matric year is meant to be a great year of
not just excellence but fun and memorable moments. Some "Friend" of mine upon hearing about my upcoming book with the same name critised me to  a point of questioning the so-called relationship.  We all have those kind of acquintences whom we keep just to pass time by. All in all stay happy and enjoy your last months of school for you will dearly miss them.
